Nico Rosberg has admitted that he must do a better job next time if he is to continue his challenge for the 2016 world championship.

The German endured a difficult Canadian Grand Prix, losing out to Sebastian Vettel and team mate Lewis Hamilton at the start, before sustaining a puncture late in the race that ended any hopes of a podium finish.

"I was very p***** off in the moment," Rosberg said of his start line incident with Hamilton. "Lewis had a really bad start, mine was decent, and Vettel had a super start. It was a hard manoeuvre from Lewis but that is racing and I need to do a better job next time.

"I lost a lot of places, that cost me the race, and after that I fought back and was on course for the podium until I got a puncture."

Despite the tough race, the championship leader remained positive, saying:

"Fifth place is a big disappointment as our car was awesome today and obviously it was good enough to fight for the win."

I hope so much Rosberg is going to get a big momentum in azerbaijan. I can´t stand Lewis´behaviour acting like an egomaniac child.

    • Rosberg is right in a way though, he is too soft on the track. To respond to skill less jerk you need to respond in a language that the jerk understands, which is being a jerk himself just to Hamilton. He should have have rammed the wheels right into Hamilton's car when he run himoff. That's way to settle it do it couple of time and the jerk will get it.

Hamilton forced Rosberg off the track, clear and simple. If they would not have been teammates that would have been under investigation for sure. And there was no need for it, Vettel was already ahead and Hamilton had enough room on the inside to avoid hitting Rosberg.

But when will Rosberg learn? He has tried to go around the outside of Hamilton many times the last few years and ended up in the same situation.

    • Damn right, Rosberg should speak the language of d**kheads i.e respond back in kind.

    • It almost feels like it would've been better if Rosberg had stayed put and collided with Hamilton, would've served HamHam right.
