Red Bull Racing have confirmed that they will continue with their race-winning driver lineup of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen for the next two seasons.
The confirmation comes after rumours of a move for Ricciardo had begun to circulate, although it is believed that the Australian has now renewed his contract with the team.
That seemingly spells an end to any hope of promotion for Carlos Sainz, who said he wanted to win his first world title for Red Bull. He currently drives for Red Bull Racing's sister team Scuderia Toro Rosso.
Although an official announcement from Red Bull has yet to take place, Dr Helmut Marko had told Germany's Auto Motor und Sport a few days ago that "Ricciardo will be with us until 2018, there is no doubt."
Team boss Christian Horner also hinted at a new contract for Ricciardo, telling reporters that rumours that Ricciardo's contract was ending are "wrong".

RB has a luxurious problem. I bet if they could they would have three RB cars. If it is not RB Sainz will move to Ferrari or Mercedes. Till then he will be happy at TR I'm sure.
