Nikita Mazepin has thanked the Force India team for presenting him the opportunity to test their car.
Mazepin, 17, joined Force India as a development driver earlier this year and made his test début during the post-race running at Silverstone, racking up 104 laps in total.
The youngster drove the car for the full two days of testing, and claims to have learned a lot.
"My main objective coming into this test was to help the team out as much as I can because they took a big risk of putting a young driver in as not many teams do, so thanks to that I'm here now," he said. "So for this I can't thank them enough, so it was very important to give back from my side the performance and try and eliminate the mistakes.
"I think I managed that pretty well, I helped the team a good amount, one of the few tests we have left before the end of the year so I tried to do my best," he continued. "I hope I have showed the potential in myself to give me a go another time and eventually maybe a race seat in a couple of years."
