Jules Bianchi's father has spoken out about the reason to take legal action against the FIA, F1, and Marussia, almost a year after his death.
The former Marussia and Ferrari driver died last July after injuries sustained in an accident at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.
Philippe Bianchi said that he has nothing to loose by taking action.
"I have lost the single-most important thing in my life and have nothing to lose," Bianchi Sr. told CNN. "I want the memory of Jules to be right. It's not possible for me and his mother to see people that say it was Jules' responsibility."
"My motivation is just to make justice for Jules. I know that Jules is here and I know when he listens to some people saying it is his responsibility, it is not possible.
Bianchi was the first driver in over 20 years to die as a result of injuries sustained during an incident at a Formula One weekend, but his father believes that the incident could have happened anywhere. And while Formula One is currently going through a period of change, safety must never be sacrificed.
"Jules crash is not a Formula One crash, it is a crash that you can have on the road here, but not in a Formula One race."
"Formula One has to be more spectacular, sure. But more dangerous? It's stupid," he said. "You have to change and have more security, because my son is dead now."
