Ferrari Driver Academy have announced a tie-up with Tony Kart, which will see the Italian go-kart manufacturer enter a technical partnership with the Formula One team's driver development programme.
The partnership will see both firms work together to develop new motorsport talent. Previous people to race Tony Karts include Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Jarno Trulli, Scott Speed,Ryan Hunter-Reay, and Danica Patrick.
"The Ferrari Driver Academy has the clear aim of training drivers for the very highest level of motor sport” said Massimo Rivola, head of Ferrari's Driver Academy. "Being able to work with very young talented drivers is definitely the right way to go about this."
"The experience and competence of Roberto Robazzi in this area is proven by past results, as well as through Sebastian [Vettel]’s history and that of Michael [Schumacher] before him," he continued. "As from today, the FDA therefore expands its sphere of activity by joining forces with a company that is part of Karting history."
Tony Kart was founded in 1958 by Antoni 'Tony' Bosio. Tony Kart go karts have won karting world titles in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2012, and 2014.
