Manor Racing have revealed that Esteban Ocon will race with the number 31 when he makes his début for the team next week.
The Frenchman, who joined the team in place of Rio Haryanto earlier this month, has yet to give a reason for his choice.
When running for Renault and Mercedes earlier this season, he has run with the number 45 and 24.
Ocon will be just the second driver to race with a number n the 30s this season, alongside Max Verstappen who races with the number 33.
It will also be the first time in 22 years where a driver will race with the number 31 on his car. David Brabham was the last driver to do so in 1994 for Simtek.
