Esteban Ocon has explained his choice of the number 31 for his Formula One career.
The 19-year-old Frenchman won his first national karting title with the same number, while curiously wearing a suit and helmet similar to the one worn by Michael Schumacher during his Ferrari days.
Ocon will make his début in Belgium next weekend with Manor Racing. He has taken the place of Rio Haryanto.
