Nico Rosberg was thrilled to take victory in the Singapore Grand Prix, his 200th race start.
The German topped every single session of the weekend bar the opening pratice session and led Sunday's race from start to finish.
"It's been an awesome weekend in Singapore for me" he said. "Of course Daniel tried to pull one on me at the end but we managed to hold him off - I'm really, really happy."
Daniel Ricciardo closed the gap to Rosberg considerably in the final stages of the race but was unable to pass the Mercedes driver.
Rosberg admitted that the situation with Ricciardo was a nail-biting one, but it made for a more satisfying result.
"I couldn't come in at the same time as Daniel because I was in traffic," admitted Rosberg. "The whole car was on the edge, it always is in Singapore. It's all the more satisfying with a race like that."
