Lewis Hamilton is willing to sit out of sessions in order to aid his championship hopes.
The British driver has been hit by a number of reliability problems this season, leaving him asking questions of his Mercedes team.
"I have had lower points, but this is the most helpless I can be at this point," he told British press earlier this week.
Despite taking penalties in Belgium in August in order to build up a stockpile of engines, Hamilton is concerned his two remaining engines may not cover him for the season after he suffered a dramatic engine failure during last weekend's Malaysia Grand Prix.
"At this point my concern is that I have two engines and want to make sure I do everything so they can last until the end," Spain's AS newspaper quotes him as saying.
"If that means I have to not do a session, I will not do a session. I'll do whatever it takes to finish the races," Hamilton added.
