Esteban Gutierrez has revealed that he is in talks with Manor and Sauber over a possible move for 2017.
The Mexican announced last week that he would be leaving Haas at the end of the year, after just one season with the American team, after they opted to sign Kevin Magnussen to partner Romain Grosjean.
The only seats remaining on the grid for next year are now Manor and Gutierrez's former team Sauber, and the ex-Ferrari tester has confirmed he has spoken to both outfits.
"You know what the two options are that are available, so we are in talks with them," Gutierrez told F1i. "Nothing is really decided yet but I think in the next week we will see some progress."
Asked if that meant that Manor was an option as well as a return to Sauber, Gutierrez replied: "Yes, as well."
