Lewis Hamilton: "I drove with more heart"

Lewis Hamilton believes he drove the 2016 with more heart compared to his team-mate, despite losing the championship.

Hamilton endured an up and down season in which he had reliability issues and high tensions with his Rosberg. Even though he was ultimately defeated, Hamilton believes he drove to the best of his ability.

“I think I probably drove with more heart this year than I ever have,” he said.

“I was faced with a lot more challenges along the way - whether you start first or fall back to eighth and have to fight back through.

“I had to dig deep, probably deeper than other years when I've started first and disappeared [into the distance]. I would say it has taken a lot more heart and a lot more courage to face challenges and overcome them.”

    • I cant imagine they'd like to work together again, last time they did didnt exactly end up well. I'd like either Vettel, Wehrlein or Alonso in that seat, though I dont think Alonso will leave McLaren yet out just to prove a point, and I dont think Vettel is ready to give up on Ferrari just yet. So its either Wehrlein or someone else... Maybe Maldonado? ;)

  • lol yup butthurt boy is confirming he can't get over fact Nico bettered him over the season. It's not about a few races where you win on trot. Nico was pretty clever after Japan and Malaysia that he doesn't have to risk a mechanical failure by pushing hard for wins every following race. He just needed to come home 2nd and the title would be his. Guess what? Exactly what happened.

This is what many don't realize: Winning races outright is good for the bragging rights but it's the total points that wins you the title. Period

I sure hope Alonso gets to go there just for lulz because Alonso will hand lewser's racist whiny butt spanked even harder and more embarrassingly than Alonso did at Mclaren despite the whole of Mclaren being against Alonso ROFLMAO, that says something. Am not even Alonso's biggest fan but you can't deny the butt-whopping he dished out to butthurt boy =)) Vettel will also do the same but with more grins and witty jibes than Alonso.

"Team Radio: Lewis, Alonso is faster than you, can you confirm?" Bwahahahaha pure gold right there.

Both are equally going to destroy butthurtboy, be careful what you for leweser you just might get it.

Realistically though I don't see much need to speculate here, it will be Bottas. Williams need the money and Mercedes needs a consistent number 2 who wont rock the boat. It's a done deal just wait and watch.

This is an elegant description of screwing up qualifying in baku, and screwing up several starts..

To those bashing Lewis: whilst there is often reason to bash him, this time try actually reading the article. It is purposely misleading by saying he drove he drove with more heart compared to Nico, but his actual quotes say he drove with more heart compared to his previous seasons. He doesn't mention Nico. Save your vitriol for the journalist responsible for this article.
