Sauber have revealed that they will launch their car on February 22, at a filming day in Barcelona. Keeping with traditions, the car will be named the C36, Teams are allowed to conduct two promotional events each season but no test may exceed 100km in length.
Sauber confirmed their line up recently, slotting Pascal Wehrlein in place of Felipe Nasr. Marcus Ericsson, who was confirmed in 2016 will enter his fourth season of F1.
The team will have their full 2017 spec car for testing in contrast to the first test of 2016, where they were required to run their 2015 car for the first four days in Barcelona. Sauber's future appeared in doubt in 2016 before Longbow Finance invested in the team, securing their long term future.
Reports also claim that additional race and system engineers will join the team before the season opener in Australia on March 26.
The filming day for Sauber takes place five days before the first pre-seaosn test. Renault remain the first team who will showcase their car, one day before Sauber.
