On Thursday the McLaren Honda Formula One team provided fans with a hint of what the latest challenger's colours will be.
The team have sported many iconic liveries over the years, however in recent times they have settled for a low-key dark grey with red trim.
The 2017 car, however, could be set for a colour change to coincide with the introduction of the new technical regulations.
The team have recently intimated that the team would have an exciting new livery but refrained from divulging what this would be. The team's Twitter account has teased fans over the last few weeks and on Thursday evening they gave the strongest indication yet that the car will be orange in colour.

Orange is such an ugly colour. I respect the heritage of the team, but just let the past stay where it belongs. Black and red livery of the last few years was clear to be the McLaren-Honda livery, and it showed the sponsors pretty well. If you want to return to old colours, choose white/red, as it represents the McLaren-Honda era.
Cars should look aesthetically good imo and the colour plays a big part in that.
PLEASE McLaren, change it from black. Black shows no imagination. As if you couldn't come up with something better.

I like the current livery too. One of the best looking ones on the grid imo. Orange is indeed more a colour of FI now.
