Ferrari have been forced to cancel their Pirelli wet weather test due to a heavy crash from Sebastian Vettel on Thursday. Vettel was driving his Ferarri around the Fiorano track before he lost control in the wet conditions and crashed.
A spokeswoman for Vettel said he was "fine" but added she could give no further details of what had happened. The car, a 2015 model modified to simulate 2017 downforce levels, was too damaged to continue with the test.
Antonio Giovinazzi was scheduled to take over the car today, but those plans have now been scrapped. Pirelli have changed their wet tyre for 2017 as it drew criticism from many drivers last season, including Vettel who said "no-one really has any trust in it".
