With all the rumours regarding McLaren's proposed livery change for 2017 grabbing the headlines, it seems that Toro Rosso will also change their design for the upcoming season. Tobi Gruner confirmed on Twitter that the Red Bull junior team will change its colours, although he wasn't sure if it was going to be orange or not.
Toro Rosso have run the same typical colour scheme for the past 10 seasons, however sources in Italy have told our editorial staff that the new colours will be light blue, more than likely the colour used on the Red Bull sugarfree cans.
The STR12 will be launched on the 26th February in Barcelona ahead of the first day of pre-season testing
Toro Rosso will run in a completely new livery this year. And no, I don't know if it will be orange. #AMuS #F1

It's a bit of a joke that you keep running with this McLaren orange crap. Tobi Gruner seems to be using this unfounded nonsense in the correct context.
This is a good story from F1Today, as always - glad I visit this site everyday! It'll be interesting to see if the car really is light blue, it certainly seems likely :)
