Felipe Massa has ended the first day of testing this week top of the time sheets, with a fastest lap time of 1:19.726. The Brazilian also set an incredible 168 laps throughout the day.
Second placed was Daniel Ricciardo, ahead of the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel, who like Massa, set 168 laps.
Lewis Hamilton will be slightly disappointed with his day, as he only clocked up 49 laps to put him in fourth. There were issues with the floor of the car, confirmed by the Briton himself.
Valtteri Bottas took the W08 to track in the afternoon and good more mileage in than his team mate, setting 86 laps. He was fifth, ahead of Esteban Ocon who set an outstanding 142 laps.
Nico Hulkenberg was sixth in the Renault, ahead of the Haas of Kevin Magnussen and the Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat.
McLaren were forced to change the power unit in the car for the sixth time, but despite this Vandoorne managed to set a respectable 80 laps. Pascal Wehrlein made his 2017 debut this morning, netting 47 laps, with team mate Ericsson taking the car out in the afternoon, setting 53 laps.
Jolyon Palmer encountered problems in the morning, meaning he only bagged 15 laps and a time good enough for last place.
That time by Vettel is getting rather curious. Oh and dat reliability. Meanwhile in whiny land turdboy is already grumpy, that tells you something. Trololo! whatever it is it's going to be fun.
Impressive runs by Williams, Ferrari and Force India. A bit unfortunate that McLaren had to change PU yet again, and a bit worrying.
A "bit"? It's over for them. The engine is another turd. They ran detuned just to get mileage and they still don't have answers for the previous two issues. Their incompetence knows no bounds.
