Romain Grosjean has hit out at drivers who are not members of the Grand Prix Drivers Association. The organisation, which focuses on driver safety, elected the Frenchman as a director to replace Jenson Button this month.

He will be working alongside president Alex Wurz and fellow director Sebastian Vettel, but has lashed out at the drivers who have not made themsleves a part of the organisation.

"Formula one is changing, and we as drivers could achieve more if we were a unit of 20 athletes," he is quoted by Speed Week. "I think it's ok to have different opinions, but we must unite our sport. We all want more from Liberty and we can do that better if we speak with one voice."

"I can tell you exactly who is not with us. Hamilton, Bottas, Verstappen, Stroll, Massa, Wehrlein, Sirotkin, Celis, Raikkonen, Hulkenberg and di Resta. When I entered F1, I wanted to be a part of it right away. So I'm a little surprised that so many are not. We're working on it."

Is there some kind of common denominator with the 'missing' drivers? I find it difficult to imagine the reasons for NOT being a member and leaves the GPDA somewhat unrepresentative to be honest...
