Former Grand Prix driver Mika Salo believes that Valtteri Bottas is "getting under the skin" of Lewis Hamilton. Bottas joined Mercedes at the start of 2017, replacing the retired Nico Rosberg. So far, the Finn has taken his first pole position and career victory.
Despite the fact it is Hamilton who appears the stronger out of the two so far this year, Salo thinks that Bottas is starting to find his feet and drive well. According to the former Tyrell driver, Bottas is performing exactly how he expected him to.
"Valtteri is driving really well at the moment," former Ferrari driver Salo told the Finnish newspaper Ilta Sanomat. "He is scoring points and starting to get under Lewis Hamilton's skin. But he is doing exactly as I expected him to do. He will certainly be able to pick up a few more wins this year," Salo added.
