Jolyon Palmer has revealed that he isn't worried about his future despite his form in the 2017 season. Palmer is yet to score a point this year, having not finished inside the top 10 since the Malaysian Grand Prix of 2016.
The Brit has been noticeably out-performed by teammate Nico Hulkenberg this year and has failed to out-qualify the German in all eight races so far. Renault placed some pressure on the shoulders of Palmer recently by stating that they need two drivers that can score points.
Despite all the rumours that he may not even finish the season with the team, the 2014 GP2 champion is not worried about what lies ahead for his future.
"I don't know exactly where all of these stories are coming from the whole time but I'm disappointed in my own performance, that's absolutely clear," Palmer said.
"But I'm working with the team to try and improve it. So the team are behind me and I appreciate their support but the end goal is for me to be doing a better job, which I'm pushing like hell to do myself because I'm also disappointed.
"They are supporting me. It's a team sport and it's up to me with the support and the help of the team and the engineers and everything to try and get through this. I'm sure that I can, it's just a lot of things not going my way.
"The stories keep coming from everywhere, I don't know where, I don't know how, but I'm not worried, I'm mainly just focused on each weekend as it comes, keep improving and let the results try and speak for themselves in the end."

Don't believe him .. How can he not be worried when his team have publicly spoken out against him
Agreed, I think he is feigning confidence. He should have this season, if he doesnt improve Im pretty sure he is out. A pity, since he is a talented driver, but as I've said before, maybe he just isnt F1-material. Im sure he can do well in other series, I just dont think this is his stage.
