Kevin Magnussen has said that to receive negative comments from the other drivers in the paddock is very rare, after the "suck my balls" incident with Nico Hulkenberg in the last race in Hungary. The Haas driver came under fire from Hulkenberg for his driving in the last race, but he has said this sort of criticism was pretty much unheard of amongst his peers.
He said he did not catch the media storm as the clip of him and Hulkenberg went viral as he does not have any social media accounts , but was not surprised by the attention. He said on the matter:"I know that there’s been a lot of attention on that but no I wasn’t [surprised by the reaction], it’s very rare that I get negative comments from other drivers, I think he wanted it to be on the television.”
He then went on to discuss how nice it is to have a secure drive for next year, being secure in his position at this point in the season for the first time in his F1 career, after lack of clarity at McLaren and Renault. He said on his new security: "My first two seasons in Formula 1 were tense, especially the first one.
"At the end of the year in the second one as well it was tense so it’s always when you feel really, really under pressure you become a little bit more insecure and a little bit less likely to take risks and it’s not the best way to go racing. The best way to go racing is to have a free mind and just enjoy it and push as hard as you can and do what you’ve taught yourself to do and practiced so much and what feels natural, without having to worry about mistakes.”

Rare? Who is that rare? Pretty much every time there is a race incident you see blame game start. What's rare is to tell someone to suck your balls as a result of that.
