Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag says that it is very likely Felipe Massa will join the electric series for its fifth season which will begin at the end of 2018. The Brazilian tested Jaguar's 2016/17 entry earlier this year, and hasn't denied that FE could be a part of his future.
Next weekend, the 36-year-old will take part in his last race in Formula 1, having announced his retirement prior to last weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix. Rumours in the Sao Paulo paddock suggested that Massa could be set to take up a role with the FIA.
However, Agag thinks it is very likely that he will join FE in the future: "Felipe is a very desired driver and a supremely talented racer,” he told e-racing365. "For season five, having Felipe with us is very likely but it is not in my hands, it is up to the teams.
"He would be a fantastic addition to the championship but for Season Four it is maybe too late as F1 runs until end of November. Who knows, something could happen sooner rather than later, even this coming season if circumstances allow and we would love him to be here with us."
