Williams has confirmed that it will give the world a view of its 2018 car on February 15 at a launch event in London. The new FW41 will be the first car whose development has been overseen by Paddy Lowe, who joined the squad in March after a number of successful seasons with Mercedes.

Lowe previously admitted that the new car will have "quite substantial changes" in major areas. In 2017, the Grove-based team finished fifth in the standings with a best finish of third, coming at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix at the hands of Lance Stroll.

Stroll has been retained for the 2018 season and will be joined by Sergey Sirotkin, who replaced Felipe Massa. Robert Kubica will also be part of the team, and will take part in a number of free practice sessions throughout the year. Williams joins Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren and Toro Rosso on the launch date schedules.

    • I don't read much into that... the real test is when the car hits the road. They usually use a lot of props at launch events to conceal several of the parts of the car.
