Fernando Alonso has been getting up to speed with the 2018 LMP1 Toyota car. This week, it was confirmed that Alonso would compete in the World Endurance Championship in 2018, landing a drive alongside former F1 drivers Sebastian Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima.
Alonso has intently stated his intention of winning the Triple Crown of Motorsport - Monaco Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500 and 24 Hours of Le Mans. Alonso tested Toyota's 2017 entry last year, getting to know the team and understanding an LMP1 machine.
It has now emerged that the Spaniard was at the Aragon circuit in Spain on Tuesday, driving the Toyota's upcoming entry. The team didn't give away any details of the test, only stating that things "went well" and there were "no issues".
Alonso will compete in the WEC as well as the Formula 1 season, but it has not yet been confirmed if he will complete the whole year of the endurance series. The 6 Hours of Fuji clashes with the US Grand Prix, however it is understood that the circuit has requested a date change to accommodate Alonso.
