Liberty Media is struggling to launch F1's new live streaming service. Before Australia, the new F1 owner announced that limited countries would have access to the service -- but it was delayed until Bahrain.
And now, it has emerged that 'F1 TV' is also not ready for Bahrain, amid rumours beta testing revealed a slew of glitches. "It will be operational as soon as possible," a spokesperson told Bild newspaper. "Not in Bahrain."
The Swiss publication Motorsport Aktuell claims that F1 TV is now on track for China, a week after Bahrain. (GMM)
Can I say that almost 20 years ago, in Spain, I was able to "pay per race" around $15 euros to watch f1 race from any angle. With heaps of cameras where we could choose from, so.....why all the fuss about something that was invented long ago?
Here is the proof! elpais.com/diario/(...)4165604_850215.html
Because it's not just for Spain. It's cheaper. And more importantly, there aren't any similar options other than an absurdly expensive package with SkyTv
Yeah, here in Sweden you will get highlights if you have Tv10, a pay channel (usually, it aint included for me). If you want the full experience, try 72 Euro a month... Because locking your channels to big oversized and overpriced packages while still having commercials is a really great ways to get popular! Screw Viasat. Screw their monopoly, and just let them screw themselves with a landline telephone.
It's too bad, I think it will be great when it does come out though.
Wow!
Just reading your guys comments makes me feel grateful I have SportKlub channel here in Serbia.
I get SportKlub package of 8 channels and the ability to watch contents up to 7 days in rewind, for 30euros a month (internet and 160 more tv channels included).
Plus the the director of F1 and MotoGP sections on SportKlub, Srdjan Erceg, is a motorsport enthusiast and is adamant that no commercials are played during the race so we have no commercial breaks. :)
True, I don't get any special features like the ability to choose my own F1 weekend content (onboard cameras etc) but I am kind of used to this format anyways so I don't mind.
