Brendon Hartley says that he does not expect Toro Rosso's performance in Bahrain to be a one-off. The Red Bull junior outfit stunned the competition in the Sakhir desert when Pierre Gasly crossed the line in fourth place.
On the Saturday, Gasly managed to set the sixth quickest time in qualifying, coming in as the 'best of the rest'. Hartley's race wasn't so smooth, with a first lap incident with Perez handing him a penalty, before being further penalised for a grid position mix-up before the race with the Mexican driver.
Speaking about upgrades that the team brought to Bahrain, the Kiwi said: "The updates and the set-up change we made drastically improved the car,” he said. "I see no reason why it should only be in Bahrain we had this great race car.
"Even after the install I said ‘wow guys, we’ve really made a good step in the right direction.' It’s all very well having a great amount of grip in the mid-corner,” he said, “but it’s the balance you have in the different phases of the corner which can really make a big different as well.
"Immediately we saw a big improvement. Also medium-high speed, there was definitely more load. I think from my first lap in P3 there was a huge difference compared to the day before."

I dont think it is, but is it enough to have an equal or better result compared to what STR achieved with Renault?
