A takeover of the Force India team is still in the works.

Earlier, the Silverstone based team considered a name change for 2018, amid rumours a consortium led by British energy drink Rich Energy was in talks.

But according to Euronews, the deal is still on and could be completed within weeks.

Sources said Rich Energy chief William Storey has "finalised terms with Vijay Mallya and Subrata Roy to buy the team for an undisclosed sum".

The source said: "The deal is done, only the paperwork needs to be completed. It's a big investment and it's going to shake things up a lot.

"It's taken a long time to do the deal but there's no stopping the sale now."

No money in the world will save him at this rate. If he cant even bribe his way out of sentences in India, there are no way he'll escape anywhere else.

  • I really hope it's true. I keep repeating it like a broken record... Force India is an incredible team that needs some extra funding to be fighting close to the front.

    • Looking at the kinda money they spent on last year's car, imagine what they could do with more money...

Send the cheque straight to the hundreds and thousands of small investors, including the loved ones of those who committed suicide after maniac Vijay Mallya crashed all their livelihoods. He then literally absconded with other people's money and pissed it away at the racetrack. He now fights extradition to India where he is wanted on a nationwide warrant. He is known for ordering bespoke motor car engines and then naming them after himself.
