Present at the Monaco Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg, the 2016 Formula 1 World Champion made a demonstration with his championship winning car on Thursday. The German made several comments regarding his post career status and also about other F1 related subjects.

The former Mercedes driver considers that Daniel Ricciardo should join Ferrari for 2019. Ricciardo is currently in the last year of his contract with Red Bull Racing. The Australian driver was rumored to join either Ferrari or Mercedes for 2019, with him remaining at Red Bull very unlikely to happen.

“Ask me [about] individual drivers, where they should go: Ricciardo, I would say Ferrari." Rosberg told Autosport. “I think he should go to Ferrari. It [Vettel and Ricciardo together] worked at Red Bull, didn’t it, for one year." Rosberg continued

“I’m not sure if Vettel is going to be too happy about him joining, because Ricciardo was faster than him in Red Bull. So, I don’t know. But apart from that I think that would be a good choice for him, a good move.” Rosberg ended.

Aged 31, Nico Rosberg retired from F1 after winning his only World Championship title in 2016. On the other hand, Daniel Ricciardo finished first in all of the three free practices of the Monaco Grand Prix.

I think he shouldn't join Ferrari. They are serial underperfomers. Before Schumacher they haven't had a champion for ages. Also after Raikkonen they have managed to screw over Massa, Alonso and Vettel. If he wants a title, he should join Mercedes.
