McLaren CEO Zak Brown made several comments regarding the British team immediate future plans and other F1 related subjects before the Monaco Grand Prix. The American also spoke about Lewis Hamilton's contractual situation with his current team Mercedes.
Coming at Monaco as the current championship leader, Lewis Hamilton has not offered any details about a possible contract extension with Mercedes. However, in a press statement made several weeks ago, Niki Lauda said that the renewal of Hamilton's contract is "just a matter of time".
“I’d be very surprised if Lewis wasn’t in a Mercedes next year. So I’m of the view that it’s just a matter of time before until the arm-wrestling…someone wins. But I think Lewis will be in a Mercedes next year.” Brown said. The McLaren CEO also spoke about the rumors of McLaren competing in the IndyCar series from 2020.
Brown wasn't the first F1 man to comment on Lewis Hamilton contractual situation with Mercedes. Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner criticised the reigning world champion on what he called "grotesque money demands" which are delaying a new deal. However, Toto Wollf, the Mercedes motorsport boss denied everything regarding Hamilton's situation.
Lewis Hamilton currently leads the Drivers Championship with 95 points, 17 more than the following rival, Sebastian Vettel. The Brit managed to qualify third for tomorrow's Monaco Grand Prix race.

There is no chance of him going anywhere else. Besides, I think Horner is right that the only ones willing to pay him grotesque amounts of money is Mercedes.
