Williams deputy team principal Claire Williams says that the team is unlikely to hit the track in Barcelona until Wednesday.
The Grove squad was forced to sit out the opening day on Monday, as it was behind schedule to complete the FW42. It cancelled a filming day on Saturday, that was supposed to be the initial shakedown of the car.
“It is looking more likely than not that we will now not be in a position to run on track until Wednesday at the earliest," read a statement from Williams.
“This is obviously extremely disappointing, but it is unfortunately the situation we are in. We will be getting the FW42 on-track as soon as we are able.”
Williams was seen in the Barcelona pit lane with a car under wraps, however it was an old challenger with an updated livery for promotional purposes.

Very sad news for a great team.
I hope they pull out of this slump and become stable once again.
Some of the greatest champions ever have won their driver's championships with Williams and it would be a massive shame to see them fold.

i have a feeling they might fold.
this testing is what they need most because they are not starting from a strong base like most other teams.
last years car was a write off . need to see where to go with this one as soon as possibe.
another bad year might mean no sponsors

Claire needs to be replaced. I'd say fired, but nepotism doesn't allow for that, but they could still replace her and preserve nepotism

There are rumors from Williams factory, that new car is probably even slower than last one and due to that Lowe gave himself at Williams management disposal.

We keep hearing from thhe Deputy team Principal. In my experience Deouties do not make a lot of decisions. This may be at the root of their problems.
