Charles Leclerc ended the second day of pre-season testing on top of the timesheets, beating heading the competition by three-tenths of a second.
Leclerc set laps, the most of any driver in the session. Following the Monegasque driver was Lando Norris who ended the day in P2 for McLaren. Third was Magnussen, who was supposed to complete the day with the American squad, but sat out the afternoon session after his team uncovered a seat issue.
Alexander Albon was fourth in the Toro Rosso. The Thai-British driver set 130 laps for the Honda-powered squad, after spinning out on his first out lap this morning. Giovinazzi was fifth for Alfa Romeo.
Valtteri Bottas followed the Italian, as he drove the W10 in the afternoon session. The Finn managed to accumulate 89 laps in the four hours of running.
Pierre Gasly was seventh, heading the two Renaults of Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo. Ricciardo's day ended prematurely when a DRS failure spun him into the gravel in the morning. Ricciardo was able to bring the car back to the garage himself, but his team couldn't repair his car in time before the end of the morning session.
Lewis Hamilton was tenth, ahead of Lance Stroll in the Racing Point car and Pietro Fittipaldi, who stepped in the Haas in the afternoon follwoing Magnussen's seat issue.
Most teams doing fine today again. Doesn't really seem to be that many issues so far, aside from that fuel pressure issue HAAS had the other day, and a few driver related errors.
Everybody looking pretty confident in their cars for the most part. Except WIlliams... Hope they get it together.
That Ferrari livery starting to grow on me. Still not crazy about the orangy looking matte red but the black highlights kind of look like tiger stripes on that racecar. The picture above of the Toro Rosso heading off into the sunset looks awesome! Some good foto's(sp). Anybody besides me noticing that the replies count above the replies is always wrong?
