Lewis Hamilton was pleased with how his Thursday running went in Barcelona, stating that it was one of the most positive days for Mercedes.
Between Hamilton and teammate Valtteri Bottas, the Silver Arrows racked up 182 laps on the third day of test two. Although it didn't set the times alight, it displayed some impressive mileage as it focused on long distance runs.
With just half a day left in the car for Hamilton before Melbourne, Hamilton says the team is learning a lot of information about the car each day.
"Today has been a good day - lots of mileage, which is great for us” said Hamilton.
“It has probably been one of the most positive days for us, we've really learned quite a lot.
“We've been able to apply our learnings from the morning to the afternoon, so I'm looking forward to seeing how Valtteri felt, but the car looked like it was in a better place.
“Our understanding of the W10 is continuously growing so it was definitely a positive day.”
Mercedes is set to top the mileage charts at the end of testing, as its productive Thursday saw it surpass 1000 laps so far this winter.
"We got a lot of laps in today which is always good,” Bottas said. "I did a race simulation which was interrupted by the red flag, but it confirmed the progress we've made since last week."

I am unsure about Mercedes, they didn't show their hand during testing at all. But I have a slight suspicion that the car is still will be on top of the field again
