Alfa Romeo has confirmed that Ferrari Drivers' Academy member Callum Ilott will make his Formula 1 test debut in Barcelona this year.
Ilott will compete in the FIA Formula 2 championship this year with Sauber Junior Team by Charouz alongside Juan Manuel Correa.
The 20-year-old has been supported by Ferrari since 2017.
Ilott finished third in the GP3 Series last year, competing with ART. He made his F2 debut at Silverstone in 2017.
The Briton will get behind the wheel of the Alfa Romeo C38 later this year at the in-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya, after the 2019 Spanish Grand Prix.
Alfa Romeo also announced that Mick Schumacher will test next week in Bahrain.
