Dan Ticktum will test the Red Bull RB15 in Bahrain next week, the energy drink squad has confirmed.
The Bahrain International Circuit hosts the first in-season test of the year, with teams required to field young drivers twice over the four days of running throughout the year.
Ticktum, who will race in Super Formula this year, will get behind the wheel on Wednesday, the second day of the test.
Max Verstappen will handle driving duties on Tuesday.
Ticktum was a title contender for the FIA Formula 3 European championship last year, but lost out to Mick Schumacher, who has graduated to Formula 2 for the 2019 campaign.
He had briefly been in contention for a 2019 Toro Rosso seat in Formula 1, but his failed title challenge failed to provide him with the necessary super license points.
The Briton has been part of the Red Bull junior programme since 2017, and recently drove the RB8 at a special event in Japan.
Prior to that, he drove a McLaren F1 car after winning the McLaren BRDC Award in 2017.
Fittipaldi to test for Haas
After driving Haas' 2019 challenger during pre-season testing in Barcelona, the American squad has opted to hand Pietro Fittipaldi a test drive in Bahrain.
Romain Grosjean will drive the car on Tuesday, before he hands over duties to Fittipaldi on Wednesday.
