Simon Pagenaud fired a warning to his championship rivals by winning his fourth race of the season in Mid-Ohio.
The Frenchman won three of the first five races but hasn't been on the top step on top of the podium since May's Grand Prix of Indianapolis.
After starting from pole position, only led 17 laps int he early part of the race before differing fuel strategies saw team mate Will Power end up in from. Pagenaud had to muscle past Power on lap 66, eventually crossing the line over four seconds clear of him at the end.
"Whew, that was a race there, that was fun," said Pagenaud. "It was an awesome battle with Will (Power) there."
"The PPG Chevrolet was really good today so when it was time to push it was easy to lay down some fast laps,"he continued. "The red Firestone tires were amazing today on the car. I just pushed as hard as we could and here we are. It's awesome. Four wins this year."
Carlos Munoz finished the race in third, ahead of Graham Rahal and James Hinchcliffe with former GP2 and GP3 raer Conor Daly in sixth.
Reigning Indy Lights champion Spencer Pigot was seventh, with Charlie Kimball, ex-BAR F1 man Takuma Sato and Josef Newgarden rounding out the top 10.
