Ed Jones has been cleared by medical staff and will be able to compete at this weekend's IndyCar Classic at the Circuit of the Americas.
Jones suffered a small non-displaced fracture of the distal fourth metacarpal in his left ring finger in a crash two weeks ago when battling Schmidt Peterson Motorsport's James Hinchcliffe.
Jones met with a hand surgeon in Miami following the season-opener in Miami the race for treatment, leading to it being splinted.
The Ed Carpenter Racing driver was officially given the all-clear by IndyCar medical director Dr. Geoffrey Billows.
